This is the third year that Mount Madonna School parent Sumana Reddy (Kavi, 10th, Lekha, 5th) has headed MMS’ Model United Nations club. Interest in the club continues to grow, and it couldn’t happen without the strong support and coordination of a dedicated parent leader. Thank you Sumana! The club’s activities got off to a great start earlier this month with their first assembly in Santa Cruz, and several eager new student members. Here is Sumana’s update:

The MMS Annual Giving Campaign has begun and we are striving for 100% participation from our Families, Faculty, Board and Trustees. At MMS, our tuition covers only a portion of the actual cost of running the school. We rely on everyone for tax deductible donations to help cover the costs of operation this year and keep tuition affordable for families in the coming years. Our 2010-11 Annual Giving goal was $100,000.
MMS is now a certified “Green” school. We are the first in Santa Cruz Co. to have completed this arduous process.
