The “Ramayana!” is a beloved annual production of drama, dance and song that has been performed by Mount Madonna School students for more than four decades! The cast includes students preschool through grade 12. Preschool students begin by taking part as forest animals. Gradually, students grow into various roles as dancers, singers, monkeys, demons and martial artists, emerging into lead, supporting or multiple roles during their high school years. To bring this theatre magic to the stage, a large supporting cast of parents, teachers, alumni, Mount Madonna Center and Hanuman Fellowship volunteers take up the work as our prop makers, costumers, makeup artists, musicians, stage crew and more. This production truly takes a village!

The Ramayana! is Mount Madonna School’s largest and most-anticipated community event of the year.
