In-Kind Giving

The Mount Madonna School community depends integrally on the participation of each parent, student, faculty member and our staff working together in collaboration to support the school’s programs and events.

In-kind contributions to the Mount Madonna School are greatly valued and appreciated. In-kind gifts are defined as non-cash items such as; equipment, books, artwork, supplies, events, or a product that is voluntarily transferred from the donor to MMS without compensation or consideration in return.

You are encouraged to speak with our Development office, or Faculty prior to making an in-kind gift to ensure that the particular gift can be accepted by the school.

Determining the dollar value of in-kind gifts are the privilege and responsibility of the donor; contributions are tax deductible in keeping with IRS regulations. When gifts are valued in excess of $500, the IRS requires donors to complete a special form for taxes (IRS Form 8283). In addition, if the value of the donation is more than $5,000, the donor must obtain a professional appraisal in addition to completion of this IRS Form. Please consult your tax advisor for more information regarding the IRS requirements for deductible of these special gifts. Donors are asked to complete the In-Kind Donation Form and return it to the Advancement office. Copies of this form are available in the office.

Donors will receive an acknowledgement, and be listed in the Annual Report. If you would like to make an in-kind gift please complete the form below.

Thank you for your support of MMS!
