UCSC Farm Donates Plants for Mount Madonna School Gardens

Thank you to the University of California, Santa Cruz (UCSC) Farm and Garden for donating plants to our school gardens, and to Jessica Cambell and Sara Sobkoviak for picking them up on behalf of the school!

Mount Madonna Head of School Ann Goewert expressed her gratitude in a letter sent to the UCSC Farm community and shared below:

Dear UCSC Farm (@ucsccasfs),
Thank you for donating plants to Mount Madonna School’s garden. At Mount Madonna School, we have three gardens serving our students.
  • Preschool and Kindergarten Children’s Garden
  • Children’s Garden serving first to fifth grade
  • High School Garden (which we are actively developing)
Currently, our Children’s Garden serves as the classroom and living lab for our Life Lab science curriculum for grades first through fifth. Your plant donation allows our children to continue developing their skills and knowledge in our garden classroom.
Thank you for your donation of plants to our school garden.
With Much Gratitude,
Ann Goewert, Ph.D.
Head of School
