Strong Season Middle School Hawks!

Mount Madonna School’s girls volleyball program has four pillars: middle school gold and blue, and high school junior varsity and varsity. The Blue and Gold teams recently completed their season – with both teams finishing strong.

The Gold team 3rd through 6th grade players are: Sarah Vince, Savannah Cambell, Anandi Oswald, AnMei Dasbach-Prisk, Brielle Goldstein, Lilia Hernandez, Paola Jacobs, Sarah Babcock, Vianne Storrs, Eleanor Harrington, Ella Connor, Erica Kalmeta, Faith Viglizzo, Gracie Howley, Lekha Duvvoori, and Sienna Clifton. A big thank you to Coach Sidd McDonald for shepherding these young players through the season.

“In the very competitive Silicon Valley Athletic League our girls tied for 4th place,” says Coach Sidd McDonald. “Every player from 3rd through 6th grade improved a lot and will this be a great group of players to watch next season.”

The Blue team, 7th and 8th grade players are: Nicole Vince, Savannah Willoughby, Alyssa Donoghue, Celia Moreno, Elise Slater, Lily Petersen, Madeleine Thatcher, Saniya Lakka, Sophia Ortiz, Sophia Saavedra, and Theresa Slater. Kudos to Coach PK McDonald for working with these young athletes over these past several months.

“The Blue team finished in a tie for 4th place and missed the playoffs due to the tie break,” comments Coack PK McDonald. “The girls developed a passion for the game and a really strong sense of team camaraderie. These players have the talent to contribute immediately to the high school program. Watch out for this group to achieve great things for the Hawks in the future!”

Congratulations to players and coaches for a season well-played! Thanks as well team parents Stephen Harrington (Gold) and Jeevani Vince (Blue) for the great communications and coordination, and to all parents who contribute by driving, feeding, and supporting the teams this season.
