Second Graders Explore Wilder Ranch State Park

Second graders had a truly lovely day at Wilder Ranch State Park recently. The weather was beautiful and the children loved exploring the park’s offerings. They learned about resident farm animals – sheep, goats, cows and chickens – while getting to interact with some of them. They explored the grounds and historic buildings, including an 1800’s-era cabin. Students were especially taken with the “tunnels,” large aloe vera plants that they could hide inside. This seemed to be one highlight of the day, along with finding sunbathing lizards!
