Career Forum for High School Students Returns March 6

On Friday, March 6, high school students will attend the annual Career Forum at Mount Madonna School (MMS). This popular Forum is a way for MMS parents (who coordinate and participate in the event) to introduce high school students to some of the diverse jobs and careers that exist, as well as the many different paths one can take to get to these varied and exciting destinations.

This year’s participants, drawn from the school’s parent body, alumni and surrounding community, offer a broad example of people working in different careers from service professions, to corporate careers, designers and builders in the technology, education, and building industries and beyond.

The event’s planning committee is headed this year by Beth Brennan, and includes Peggy Moore, Forrest Cambell, Susy Adams, Christine Smith, and alumni parent Ariel Benson.

“The students love this event,” commented Smith. “It’s a great way for them to engage with folks from a variety of professions in a safe, fun, and interactive way; and they get to see that not everyone knows exactly what they want to do when they are in high school, in college, and even after!”
