Edible Learning: Baking with Young Children

“I love to bake bread,” says 5-year-old Adrian Jonker. “I love that it has the beautifullest smell that goes with it.” Jonker, a kindergarten student at Mount Madonna School (MMS), made his comments during a recent classroom baking lesson. Mount Madonna School beat visiting Scotts Valley 25-19, 25-21, 28-26 in SCCAL play. The Hawks were highlighted by Allison Ota, who had 14 kills and 25 digs. For the Falcons, Allison Twisselman had 18 digs, Maggie Witzig had 12 digs and Emily Payne knocked out seven kills.
