Today the fifth grade class presented to the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary Advisory Council. In 2013 while in India, Mount Madonna School students interviewed Rinchen Khando Choegyal, director of the Tibetan Nuns Project. Choegyal s a former Minister of Education in the Tibetan Government-in-Exile, founding President of the Women’s Tibetan Association and sister-in-law of His Holiness the Dalai Lama. She resides in Dharamsala.

Learning and Teaching: First Graders Share Native Animal Research
Mount Madonna School (MMS) first graders can tell you a lot about some of the animals native to Santa Cruz County, including wild turkeys, barn owls and rattlesnakes, following several weeks of research and presentations to their peers, parents and teachers.
