Whether learning about inspirational ‘moral heroes,’ creating papier mache bird models with high school ‘big buddies,’ or absorbing history lessons in situ along California’s coastal area or in the Sierra mountains, students in Robin Hamsa Heinrich’s third grade class are active and challenged.
