Whether learning about inspirational ‘moral heroes,’ creating papier mache bird models with high school ‘big buddies,’ or absorbing history lessons in situ along California’s coastal area or in the Sierra mountains, students in Robin Hamsa Heinrich’s third grade class are active and challenged.
