Mount Madonna School(MMS) faculty, administration, and staff are constantly working to ensure the student experience and education delivered at MMS is second to none. Administration and staff work throughout the summer to prepare materials for the upcoming school year and, for two weeks prior to the first day of school, administration, staff and faculty come together to receive vital training and to share valuable insights about curriculum and the environment they’d like to create for students.
Training ranges from first aid and CPR, emergency procedures, mindfulness techniques, and curriculum tools while ideas are shared about how to create the best student environment, classroom setup, annual events and community building.
The first day of the retreat started with breakfast and an icebreaker activity which challenged the staff’s creativity, ingenuity, teamwork and sense of style. In the following days, the faculty worked to define and remind each other of the values, space, and goals MMS strives to uphold for students.
2025-26 is already shaping up to be a wonderful and vibrant year. Looking forward to seeing everyone soon!
