Soquel Resident and State Senator Fight To Improve Breast Cancer Screening

Amy Colton faces adversity with information — as much of it as she can get. When the Soquel resident and registered nurse was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2009, she learned everything she could about breast cancer.

Now she and local State Sen. Joe Simitian are working together to help other women get information they need.

Hawks Compete in Leland High School’s Charger Classic

On March 26, the boys varsity team participated in Leland High School’s Charger Classic tournament. The Hawks played six matches, and finished the day with a record of 4-2, and 9th overall in a 24-team tournament. Varsity coach PK McDonald, describes the day’s competition:
