As we know, Lord Rama is the reincarnation of Vishnu, the God of Preservation. His wife, the Princess Sita, has many legends about her origin, but they all center around her embodiment of the spirit of Mother Earth. She represents this with her motherly qualities of compassion and empathy, her patience, and virtuous wisdom. Sita enters into the mortal world from the earth and returns back to Heaven or the greater universe through it. The 2017 Ramayana! t-shirt design seeks to showcase Sita in this light. Designed by MMS Art Teacher and Alum Erika Rosendale '05.
