Boys Volleyball Team Scores Top Academic Honor: Best GPAs in CCS

Mount Madonna School’s boys varsity volleyball team has received the Central Coast Section (CCS) highest academic honor by the CIF: “2011 CCS Scholastic Championship Team Award.”

Accreditation Report

MMS received another six year term of accreditation, which began June 2010, from both CAIS and WASC! Member schools are reviewed every six years (or more frequently, if they receive shorter reaccreditation terms after review).

The official Self-Study document is available for viewing in the office. In the early part of the summer, we revised our Action Plan, based on the Visiting Team’s commendations and recommendations. The Action Plan involves three strategic areas: Finance, Community and Governance, as well as a few specific Program improvements.

Enhancing Academic Excellence Through Performing Arts

Academic Excellence is one of the three main pillars of our School, together with Positive Character Development and Creative Self-Expression. Academic achievement is one of the five core values of an MMS education. These words are found in the mission statements of most schools, and also heard in political speeches during election season. But what does academic achievement and excellence look like at MMS? How do we demonstrate it and how do we measure it?
